Visa and Travel Requirements

Having a valid Visa is a necessary precondition for any business travel to the European Union and its joint, borderless economies who have agreed upon the free movement of people.

The agreement is known as the Treaty of Schengen and it resulted in the ceasing of transit controls on the brink from one country to another. This gave birth to the Schengen Visa and unfortunately to stricter scrutiny of applicants in need of Visa for business travels to the European Union.

Therefore an excellent preparation of a Visa application is essential. It requires knowledge about the needed documents and the timing. We encourage all applicants to collect the relevant documents issued by the German Embassy as early as possible, in preparation of a business travel. Compliance with the imposed requirements is strongly recommended, though this is by no means a guarantee for the granting of a Visa.
